Basing the premise of our first mission from a suggestion in the main Brainstorm thread (of Improv Everywhere's Global site) from an agent,on the other side of the planet, which calls for the agents to be in an establishment, make a whole lot of noise and then suddenly mute--but still in animated discussion--for several minutes at an interval, and then resume making noises again as if nothing happened.
And a not more suitable title was found for this mission other than the old Filipino saying, "May dumaang anghel" (literally, "An Angel passed by") which is what people say when, in a middle of a conversation, everyone goes quiet and seem to have paused for a breather or took time to think of a witty response, or waiting, with bated breathe, to begin a new topic.
The ideal was to have at least twenty people for this to be really noticeable, but this world is not the dream world of an obsessive-compulsive perfectionist and so as you may call us performance artists who bring fun and something unusual to other people's (and so unto ourselves as well) daily grind, we did our best to make do with the handful of us that showed up.
And so, one person was assigned to be the "Angel," and when he stood up, it was our queue to shut up but still keep the motor running.
I've beaten around the bush far too long to introduce a video that would take less of a time than reading the introduction...so okay...here's the teaser...
